This series of art provokes a thought of a winter desert landscape and a colour that yields a commanding pleasure for me. My studio is in a region of the world which is harsh, dry, profoundly beautiful in all its ruggedness, yet one thing it is lacking is rain. 

Water is life. We all know this, and without it, I cannot experience this greenery and colour that one so often may take advantage of in watery parts of the planet. Hence, I find myself painting it, brining my inner visions and desires for wet, green land to life. Despite the harshness of environment here in the ancient lands of South Australia, we have some wonderful wild desert blossoms. I love watching them in the garden, and In this artwork, I am depicting this so.

Besides art, gardening is one of life's greatest pleasures for me. It is a window into God's Kingdom that begets a stillness within an ever increasing fast paced, artificial world. I love to paint what I glimpse in my garden. I hope you enjoy it too.
